The main characters in the book are Sheila O’Brien, Paddy O’Brien, Frank, Conky, Jonny, Tariq, Asaf Smolensky, Lev, Gloria. The story revolves around Paddy O’Brien who is associated with underworld. How he rules the south of the Manchester. The story starts when Lev stabs Paddy in a fight and paddy is admitted in hospital where he has heart attack. While recovering in hospital paddy realises he needs to spend his last days with his wife and children and inform his wife to pack their bags as they are moving to Thailand and he is shutting his business. He decides to sell his business to his rivals Jonny and Tariq (the Boddlington Gang) who rules north. Now the story takes pace as how paddy and boddlington’s work to make the deal successful, but a war rages between them when one of the family member of paddy dies. I felt the book lack in the plot and entertainment. The only good thing about the book was every chapter was dedicated to the particular character, So it was easy to get the conversation. But overall book was a disaster for me as there was nothing thrilling about the novel.
